3. Extracting files

Installation proceeded to the third step, extracting files. Four files will be extracted:

• search.cgi - the script that does the searching
• control.cgi - the script that let's you manage your search engine. You can update your index, view search statistics, set preferences. (Control panel)
• data/apbsearch.log - the search terms with much additional info is saved here. You can view content of this file in your admin area. (6 View search statistics)
• data/config.cgi - your settings are saved here. You can modify this file in control panel.
