1.4 Index created
Files selected in step 1.3 Selecting files are included in the index file. We recommend you to print this list for later reference.
For every file, following information is saved:
- URL - URL address of web page.
- Real path - full path to the file on the server
- Time of last modification - date and time of last file modification.
- File size - size of file in kBytes.
- Title - text inside <TITLE> </TITLE> tags. If no such text found, "No Title" text is saved instead.
- Content - words inside <BODY> </BODY> tags. Search script looks here for searched words.
What's saved:
- text
- alternative text of images
- non-English characters: À, Á, Â, Ã, Ä, Å, Æ, Ç,
È, É, Ê, Ë, Ì, Í, Î, Ï, Ð, Ñ, Ò, Ó, Ô,
Õ, Ö, Ø, Ù, Ú, Û, Ü, Ý, Þ, ß, à, á, â,
ã, ä, å, æ, ç, è, é, ê, ë, ì, í, î, ï,

What's not saved:
- text inside <STYLE> </STYLE> tags
- text inside <SCRIPT> </SCRIPT> tags
- characters: ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) [ ] { } + = | \ / . , _ - ~ ` ' " :
- Description - usually used as a short description of the page on search results page. If you use <META DESCRIPTION> tag, content of this tag is recorded.
Otherwise, first 300 characters of the page content are used.
- Keywords - content of <META KEYWORDS> tag (if any). Used for increasing relevance of some search words. See chapter 2.3 Setting preferences for more details.
