1.2 Selecting directories

All directories under the base directory set in step 1.1 Setting variables are listed and checked. Uncheck directories that don't include files that you wish to index (usually /images, /stats, /cgi-bin directories). If some directory includes both files that you wish to index and files that you don't want to index, leave that directory checked. You will select which files will be actually indexed in the part 1.3 Selecting files.
